Washington. The US Air Force has suffered a major setback amid the ongoing fierce military conflict in the Middle East and increasing aggressive operations against Iran. A KC-135 Stratotanker (refueling) aircraft of the US military has crashed in an airfield in western Iraq. This accident happened when the plane was refueling other fighter planes in the air. The US Central Command has officially confirmed the incident and said that a large-scale rescue and search operation has been started immediately after the accident. Iran is being looked at with suspicion for this accident.
According to the statement of the US Central Command, two KC-135 tanker aircraft were involved in this mission. These aircraft were performing the important responsibility of supplying fuel to the fighter planes on long-range missions under the ongoing Operation Epic Fury against Iran. During the mission, one aircraft was successful in landing safely, but the other aircraft crashed in friendly airspace in western Iraq. According to initial investigation and statements of military officials, there is no indication of any enemy fire or fault of our own forces (friendly fire) behind the downing of the plane. At present, the primary cause of this accident is being considered to be technical fault. However, the Central Command has not yet shared any detailed information about the exact number of crew members on board the plane or their current status, which remains a matter of suspense.
The KC-135 Stratotanker serves as a lifeline for the US Air Force. Its specialty is that it provides fuel to fighter planes in the air without landing on the ground, making them capable of attacking over long distances. The role of these aircraft is considered extremely important for the ongoing war in a wide geographical area like Iran. It is noteworthy that since the attacks on Iran by America and Israel on February 28, the entire region is burning in the fire of war. In this ongoing conflict, the American Army is continuously suffering loss of lives and property. According to the data, 7 US soldiers have lost their lives since the start of the current conflict, while around 150 soldiers have been injured in separate incidents. The latest plane crash has emerged as a major challenge for American military operations in this tense environment.
