Dhaka. A painful news has emerged from Shariatpur district of Bangladesh, where 50-year-old Hindu businessman Khokan Chandra Das died during treatment in the hospital. Khokan Das, who ran a medicine and mobile banking business in his village, about 150 kilometers from Dhaka, was fatally attacked on December 31 when he was returning home after closing his shop. The attackers not only attacked them with sharp weapons, but also showed extreme cruelty by pouring petrol on them and setting them on fire. Khokan Das was struggling between life and death in the hospital for the last three days, but he died on Saturday, January 3. This incident has once again raised serious questions on the security of minorities in Bangladesh.
