The second ODI match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat got badly injured while fielding. Hussain Talat suffered a shoulder injury, due to which he was immediately admitted to the hospital. Hussain Talat got this injury in the sixth over of the second innings of the match, when Liton Das hit the ball of Mohammad Wasim towards the off side and Talat ran towards the cover boundary to stop the ball.

When the ball reached the boundary, Talat tried to throw the ball backwards, but as soon as he touched the ball, his foot fell on the foam on the boundary. After this, he staggered and collided with the advertising hoardings and fell on the ground on his left shoulder. The ground personnel present there immediately ran towards Talat, after which a stretcher was brought to take him to the ambulance parked nearby.
PCB gave update on injury
Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a statement regarding Hussain Talat’s injury. He told, Hussain Talat got immediate help from the team’s medical staff on the field itself. After initial assessment, he has been taken to the hospital for detailed examination. The nature and severity of the injury will be known after doctors complete further medical examination.
Pakistan won the second ODI
Talat could not show anything special with the bat and after facing 13 balls, he was out after scoring only nine runs. Batting first after losing the toss, Pakistan’s entire team was all out after scoring 274 runs. Due to rain, Bangladesh was given a revised target of 243 runs in 32 overs under DLS rules. Bangladesh were bowled out for 114 runs and lost the match by a huge margin of 128 runs. For Pakistan, Maaz Sadaqat batted brilliantly and played a strong inning of 75 runs in 46 balls. Whereas, Salman Agha contributed 64 runs in 62 balls. Mohammad Rizwan was out after facing 59 balls after scoring 44 runs. However, Abdul Samad, Faheem Ashraf and Shamil Hussain could not show anything special with the bat. In bowling, Rishad Hussain took three wickets for 56 runs for Bangladesh, while Mehdi Hasan Miraj took two wickets.
