
Varanasi. There was a commotion in Varanasi district when the District Judge received a bomb threat on his e-mail. As soon as information about this was received, the bar officials held a meeting. There was an atmosphere of commotion in the court premises. Information has been received that a threatening message was received on e-mail at 1.30 in the night.
The security of the court has been increased after the District Judge received an email threat. DCP Varuna Pramod Kumar and Cantt Inspector Shivakant Mishra along with the force and bomb disposal squad are conducting checking operations in the court.
At the same time, the advocates have also started investigating the chamber and suspicious items at their level. On the other hand, the e-mail is being investigated by the cyber cell.
Central Bar President Premprakash Singh Gautam said that the District Judge called the President General Secretary of both the bars to his chamber and informed him that he has received an e-mail in which terrorist organizations have threatened to bomb the court at 1.30 pm. In such a situation, dates are being given in all the cases and a request has been made to vacate the court.
The bomb disposal squad reached the spot and thoroughly investigated the court premises. As soon as information about this was received, a large number of police forces also reached the spot. Along with this, Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Shivhari Meena also reached the court. He gave necessary directions.
Heavy police force on the spot
On the spot, a team of more than 50 police personnel including three company PAC, DCP, ADCP, ACP and four inspectors is conducting investigation in the court.
The District Judge received a one-line e-mail threat that advocates and judges would be bombed. This information has spread like wildfire throughout the city. On information, District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar also reached the spot.
After receiving a bomb threat to the Varanasi Court, a checking operation was also conducted at the Cantt Railway Station. The security personnel checked from the counter to the entrance and reached all the platforms.
