Desk: CBI has arrested the accused Jitendra Kumar, who was absconding for about 13 years in an old case of bank fraud. The court had declared him a fugitive in 2014. He was missing since 2013 and kept hiding by constantly changing locations. This case dates back to July 2013, when CBI had registered a case against Sanjeev Dixit (Proprietor – M/s Shankar Metals), Sanjay Sharma (Proprietor – M/s Super Machines), Indra Rani and some others. The allegation was that these people together took a cash credit loan of Rs 4 crore from Jor Bagh branch of Punjab National Bank, New Delhi on the basis of fake documents and later the money was used at a different place for the purpose for which it was taken.

Investigation revealed that Sanjay Sharma was shown as the loan guarantor in the loan documents, but the photo on the guarantor documents was actually that of Jitendra Kumar. Apart from this, a fake Sale Deed of a plot in Ghaziabad was also deposited in the bank, in which the name of Sanjay Sharma was mentioned as the owner, but the photo was of Jitendra Kumar. Not only this, the bank account M/s Rajdhani Traders into which the loan amount was diverted was also in the name of Jitendra Kumar. Investigation also revealed that Jitendra Kumar was an employee of the main accused in this case, Sanjeev Dixit, and the fraud was carried out using his real face.
