Police said on Saturday that anesthesia injections were recovered from the spot. Investigation has also revealed that the girl students had learned about the methods of committing suicide on Chat GPT before committing suicide. These two friends, aged 18-20 years, were missing since Friday afternoon. On the complaint of family members, police found his scooter outside the temple near Sania village on the basis of mobile location. In the CCTV footage, both of them were seen going towards the bathroom of the temple. When the door was broken, both were found unconscious, but when they were taken to the hospital, the doctors declared them dead. Police have also found suicide-related pictures from the gallery of the mobile phones of the girl students. Police are investigating the reasons behind this step.

Student attacked in Gurukul hostel in Ballari, one dead; many children injured

A shocking incident came to light late night in a Gurukul residential school located in Ballari district of Karnataka. According to the police, a student suddenly became furious and attacked the children studying with him. It was told that after dinner, when all the children were sleeping in the hostel, the accused student picked up an iron bed rod present in the hostel and started attacking other students. He started attacking whoever he found in front of him.

A total of eight students were injured in this attack. One of these children died on the spot, while the condition of two is said to be critical. The remaining six children also suffered injuries. After the incident, the injured children were immediately admitted to the nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. According to Ballari police, this incident happened late at night. Police reached the spot and started investigating the matter and efforts are being made to find out why the student took such a step.

Heroin worth Rs 3.25 crore seized in Assam, 5 arrested

Heroin worth Rs 3.25 crore was seized in Cachar district of Assam and five people have been arrested in this case. This action was taken after heroin was recovered from two vehicles on Saturday.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), based on specific intelligence, Cachar Police stopped and searched vehicles on Silchar-Kalain Road. Police seized a total of 538 grams of heroin and detained five smugglers. Kerala government extends wild boar hunting order by one year

The Kerala government has extended the validity of the order for controlled hunting of wild boars by one year. According to the recent guidelines of the state forest department, this order will remain in force till May 28, 2026. Two missing after fishing boat sinks off Kerala coast

The fishing boat St Joseph sank off the coast of Kollam, Kerala after colliding with a ship. Two sailors are missing in the accident, while nine others were rescued by the ship. According to the police, the boat had a total of 11 crew members, all hailing from other states and had gone for deep sea fishing. The boat had left Shaktikulangara Harbor on Friday night.

The accident occurred on Saturday about 120 nautical miles off the coast. The collision caused serious damage to the boat and it quickly sank. The nine rescued sailors will soon be brought to Vizhinjam in Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram. Police said an FIR will be lodged in the case only after recording the statements of the rescued sailors.

TMC women workers protest march against domestic gas cylinder becoming expensive

Government under siege over increase in liquor shops in Kerala

The Kerala Catholic Bishops Conference (KCBC) has criticized the government over the increasing number of liquor shops in the state and lack of effective action against drug addiction. The Temperance Commission of the KCBC issued a circular in this regard, which was read out in various Catholic churches in the state on Sunday.

Commission Chairman Bishop Ambrose Puthenveetil said that awareness campaigns against alcohol and drugs are being conducted in 32 dioceses of the Catholic Church in Kerala. The circular said that churches and social organizations are continuously raising their voice against alcohol and drugs, but the administration is not taking adequate steps to stop them. On the contrary, liquor outlets are continuously increasing in the state. Anti-Liquor and Anti-Drug Day was also observed with various programs in churches across the state on Sunday.
