Gir Somnath Somnath Swabhiman Parv, the celebration of Swabhiman Parv has started with devotion from 8 to 10 January to commemorate 1000 years of unwavering faith. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present in Somnath on 10-11 January on the occasion of Somnath Swabhiman festival. On the eve of Somnath Swabhiman festival, all preparations have been completed in the entire Somnath area under the guidance of the state government.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, various arrangements and facilities have been made available to the public for the Somnath Swabhiman festival. Secretaries and administrative officers of various departments have formed different teams and completed the work to ensure that arrangements remain smoothly in various programs organized under Swabhiman Parv.
On the night of 7 January, various routes of Somnath were beautifully decorated with lights and symbols of spiritual consciousness. Triveni Road, Hamirsingh Circle, Shankh Circle, Bhidiya-Patan Road, Circuit House Road and the roads of Somnath Temple area have been decorated with various preparations including decorations, lights, pictures of Shiva worship, flags, idols of Lord Shiva on the roads, due to which the entire Somnath has been decorated. Shiv devotees from entire Gujarat are reaching Somnath through trains and buses. Due to continuous chanting of ‘Omkar’ mantra for three days, the atmosphere of Somnath has become divine with supernatural experience. This message of Swabhiman Parv with 1000 years of struggle, bravery, self-respect and unwavering faith from the year 1026 to 2026 inspires the new generation to imbibe the story of India’s eternal Sanatan culture.
