
The annual festival of Dr BR Ambedkar College was organized in New Delhi on Tuesday. Dignitaries participated in this program and 3 meritorious students were felicitated. In this ceremony, ‘Shri Sheetal Prasad Singh Journalism Award’, given for the last 23 years in collaboration with Delhi University and ‘Babu Priyavrat Narayan Singh Shiksha Samiti’, was given to Shri Karuna Nayan Chaturvedi this year. He is a fourth year student of Hindi Journalism and Mass Communication at Delhi University. The ‘Babu Priyavrat Narayan Singh Gold Medal’, given by DU and Babu Priyavrat Narayan Singh Shiksha Samiti for the last 23 years to the student scoring the highest marks in the Social Work course, was given this year to BA Honors student Iti Srivastava.

Speaker of Delhi Assembly Vijendra Gupta as the chief guest of the ceremony, Sunaina Mohan, diplomat of the Republic of Suriname in India as the special guest and Prof. Director General of India Habitat Center (New Delhi) as the guest of honour. KG Suresh, Joint Secretary of the University Grants Commission, Dr. GS Chauhan and Treasurer of the College Governing Body, Prof. Kulveer Gojra was present. The program was presided over by the Chairman of the College Governing Body, Prof. Ranjit Behera did it. The guests described the important role of the young generation in building a new India and wished for a bright future for the students.
