
Chandigarh. Punjab Police has busted a cross-border illegal arms module linked to smugglers in Pakistan by arresting two people. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav gave this information through a post on social media platform ‘X’. He said that Amritsar Commissionerate Police recovered 6 sophisticated pistols, two Glock and four 30 bore. Along with this, 2 live cartridges were also recovered.
The Director General of Police said that the arrested accused were involved in illegal smuggling of weapons. They were supplying weapons to notorious criminals on the instructions of their foreign masters. He said that an FIR has been registered under the Arms Act at Islamabad Police Station in Amritsar. Punjab Police is committed to dismantle organized crime networks and ensure security and peace across Punjab.
Know that this is a big success in stopping illegal arms smuggling. The police have arrested people associated with the cross-border network. The police is interrogating him and trying to trace other people involved. Police say that all the people involved in this case will definitely be punished. No one will be spared.
