Bumrah became the third bowler to take four wickets in the final match of the T20 World Cup. Bumrah showed the way to the pavilion to Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, James Neesham and Matt Henry in the title match. Bumrah is also the fast bowler taking the most wickets in T20 World Cup history. He has taken 40 wickets in this tournament. Sourav Ganguly also praised Sanju Samson. Dada said that Sanju should get continuous opportunities in both T20 and ODI teams. He said that he knows Samson’s ability very well and that is why he is not at all surprised by his strong performance. Sanju Samson batted brilliantly in the final match against New Zealand and played a strong innings of 89 runs in 46 balls. Sanju became the batsman who played the biggest innings in the final match of the T20 World Cup. The wicketkeeper-batsman was named Player of the Tournament for his stellar performance in the tournament. Samson scored 321 runs in the five matches played in the T20 World Cup at a strike rate of 199. He became the highest run-scorer Indian batsman in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. Sanju broke Virat Kohli’s record. India became the first country to win the T20 World Cup on home soil. With this, Team India under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav also became the first team in the world to defend the T20 World Cup title.
