There is suspense over whether Pakistan will play in the T20 World Cup or not. Even if he plays the World Cup, questions remain whether he will play the match against India on February 15 or not. The answer will be available on Monday when the PCB will announce its decision regarding the World Cup on the instructions of the Pakistan government. Meanwhile, Chris Srikkanth, who was a member of the 1983 World Cup winning team, while referring to the tremendous form of the Indian team, has mocked Pakistan and said that it is better if they do not come to the World Cup because anyway they will be crushed by Team India. Srikkanth, who was the former national chief selector, wholeheartedly praised the Indian team’s tremendous performance in the T20 series against New Zealand on his YouTube channel. He said, ‘In the last (second) match, India scored 208 runs in 15 overs. In this match (third) he made 150 in 10 overs. Seeing this, many teams would be saying – No, we are not coming. You can keep the cup.’
Why is it difficult for Pakistan to boycott the T20 World Cup or the match against India?
Taking pleasure in Pakistan’s boycott chant, Srikanth said, ‘O Pakistan, you come. Your Mohsin Naqvi is talking about this – don’t come. You will get beaten. The six imposed in Colombo will fall in Madras. Attention. The best option is to stay away. Make an excuse and don’t come. These guys will beat you very badly. This will send a danger signal to every cricket team in the world. This kind of hitting in T20 cricket! I have never seen anything like this.’ After Bangladesh’s exit from the T20 World Cup, Pakistan is singing the song of boycotting this tournament. On Monday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif. After that he told in a social media post that PCB will take its final decision regarding participation in the T20 World Cup next Monday. Meanwhile, there is speculation in the Pakistani media that even though Pakistan may not boycott the T20 World Cup, it may boycott the group match with India to be held on February 15.
