Gurugram. A 56-year-old man, who was staying with his girlfriend in a hotel near the bus stand of Gurugram city adjacent to the capital Delhi, died under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday. Police had found some empty wrappers of powerful medicines from the spot. In such a situation, there is a possibility of death due to drug overdose. However, in the postmortem report the cause of death has been stated as heart attack.
According to the police, the deceased man was a resident of a village near Sohna in Haryana, who worked as a driver in a logistics company. On Wednesday, he along with a female friend from his school stayed in a hotel near Gurugram bus stand. According to the woman’s statement, the man in the room suddenly felt severe chest pain. The woman immediately called an ambulance and informed the police. He was taken to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Postmortem of the deceased’s body was done on Thursday. In the preliminary report of postmortem, the cause of death is heart attack. However, the medicine wrappers found in the room indicate that the man had consumed stimulant medicines without medical advice, which is suspected to have affected his heart.
According to the information, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family of the deceased. It is being told that his son’s wedding was on March 12. There was an atmosphere of happiness and arrival of guests in the house, but the sudden death of the father has left the family in shock. The body was handed over to the family members on Thursday.
