Indian: A new debate has erupted regarding Virat Kohli’s Test retirement in cricket. Former cricketer Manoj Tiwari rejected Sanjay Manjrekar’s claim that Kohli left the ‘tough format’ and chose the ‘easy format’ ODI. Tiwari believes that Kohli was forced to leave the Test team.

“Was forced” – Tiwari’s clarification

Tiwari said, “I do not agree with Manjrekar. Such an environment was created that he had to leave the Test. Even though the decision came from his mouth, everyone knows what happened behind the scenes. To say that he left the Test just for the sake of runs is not correct.”

Virat’s magic in ODI

While the controversy over Test retirement continues, Kohli responded with his bat in ODIs. In the recently concluded series against New Zealand, he played a stormy innings of 124 runs in 108 balls. Kohli kept the Indian team in control while chasing the target of 338 runs. His combination of brilliant cover drives and pull shots again proved that his class is still intact.

As soon as Kohli was out, the Indian innings faltered and the team was reduced to 296 runs in 46 overs. This makes it clear that Kohli’s batting is still very important for the team.
