
New Delhi. Weather conditions are worsening in many parts of the country from Jammu and Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and from the mountains of the north-west to the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain, snowfall, strong winds and dense fog. Fishermen and travelers have been advised to take special precautions.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Muzaffarabad during December 15 and 18 to 21. A warning of rain and snowfall has been issued in Himachal Pradesh on 15, 20 and 21 December, while in Uttarakhand on 15 and 21 December.
There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 16 and 17 December. A warning has been issued for strong winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in Andaman and Nicobar Islands between December 15 and 18.
There is a possibility of dense fog in many areas of North East India between 16 and 20 December. There is a warning of dense fog in Himachal Pradesh from 16 to 18 December, while in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi-NCR on 16 and 17 December. There will be fog effect in Uttar Pradesh on 16th and 17th December and in Madhya Pradesh from 16th to 18th December. In particular, there is a possibility of extremely dense fog in Uttar Pradesh on 16 December and in Madhya Pradesh on 16 and 17 December.
