Ahmedabad. Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat at 10:51 am on Monday. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 3.1 on the Richter scale. Local administration and disaster management teams said that till now no damage or loss of life has been reported from anywhere.
According to officials, the epicenter of the earthquake was near Gir Somnath area. Due to feeling the tremors, people did not come out of their homes in large numbers. At present there is no information about any loss of life or property. Still, the administration is keeping an eye on the situation.
Regarding earthquake shocks and danger, geology experts say that shocks of 3.1 intensity are considered normal and the possibility of serious damage is very less. Despite this, the concerned departments are vigilantly monitoring all aspects.
