
Delhi: The economic direction of the country is going to be decided today. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026 in Parliament on Sunday, February 1. This budget is special in many ways. On one hand, this is the second full budget of the third term of the Modi government, on the other hand, a historical record of presenting the ninth consecutive Union Budget is also going to be registered in the name of Nirmala Sitharaman.
The Finance Minister’s budget speech will start in Parliament at 11 am. During this time, the government will present an account of the economic situation of the last year and will also outline its policies and priorities for the coming financial year. The general public, industry, farmers, youth and middle class have special expectations from Union Budget 2026, especially regarding the announcements for relief from inflation and accelerating development.
