The municipality is planning to install cameras on various roads of Balurghat city for surveillance. The aim of this step is to catch irresponsible citizens. Along with monitoring, fines will also be imposed. You will be caught on cameras if you throw garbage. After which the Municipal Corporation team will reach your house after identification and will collect a heavy fine.
The municipality has informed that a fine ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 1 lakh will be imposed. Because of the lingering smell, one had to cover one’s nose while walking on the road.
