According to the team of Balurghat Municipal Corporation, people face problems due to throwing garbage on the road. The thrown garbage gradually turns into a big heap. Many people have the habit of eating and drinking while walking on the road and throwing garbage on the road. As it accumulates, it becomes a mountain of garbage. It starts to stink. During this time, people passing by have trouble breathing.
People, troubled by the piles of garbage and the bad smell, were continuously complaining to the Municipal Corporation officials. Now he has expressed happiness over the decision of the Municipal Corporation. Balurghat Municipality is taking a big step to clean this waste. The municipality is planning to install cameras on various roads of Balurghat city for surveillance. The aim of this step is to catch irresponsible citizens. Along with monitoring, fines will also be imposed. You will be caught on cameras if you throw garbage. After which the Municipal Corporation team will reach your house after identification and will collect a heavy fine.
The municipality has informed that a fine ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 1 lakh will be imposed. Because of the lingering smell, one had to cover one’s nose while walking on the road. Local residents are also happy with this initiative. He believes that from now on anyone will think twice before throwing garbage.
