Dehradun . The online registration process for Chardham Yatra 2026 has started in Uttarakhand. Devotees coming for Chardham Yatra can now register sitting at home through mobile, computer, mobile app or WhatsApp. This time registration has been made mandatory for all passengers, so that the administration can smoothly handle the number of passengers, security and crowd management. This year the Yatra is starting from 19th April 2026. The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham are to be opened for devotees on this day. Whereas the doors of Kedarnath Dham are to open on 22nd April and the doors of Badrinath Dham are to open on 23rd April.
Online registration will be done in three ways. First, create an account by visiting the website of Uttarakhand government and download the registration slip by giving travel information. Second, after creating an account through Tourist Care Uttarakhand mobile app, filling the travel details and downloading the travel pass. Third, registration through WhatsApp: After sending the message “Yatra” to 8394833833, the chatbot completes the registration by taking the necessary information. For those passengers who do not have internet access, biometric registration counters will be installed at several key locations including Haridwar and Rishikesh. Offline registration will start from April 17.
Uttarakhand government has also issued helpline number 0135-1364 to help the passengers. Help regarding online registration, travel route, arrangements and other important information can be obtained on this number.
This year the doors of Badrinath Dham are going to open for the devotees on 23 April 2026 at 6:15 am. This date was decided after calculating the calendar in Narendranagar Rajdarbar. The doors of Badrinath Dham of Chamoli are opening 11 days earlier than last year. The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham will be opened for the devotees with rituals on April 19 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. In this way, devotees can now easily register online and enjoy a safe and well-organized Chardham Yatra. Registration and helpline information must be obtained before joining the yatra, so that any kind of inconvenience can be avoided.
