
UAE President India Visit: UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reached India on Monday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke the protocol and reached the airport to welcome him. The warmth and deep friendship between the two leaders was clearly visible, which once again gave new energy to India-UAE relations.
Describing the visit as very special, Prime Minister Modi wrote on social media platform He said that this visit reflects the strong friendship and mutual trust between India and UAE. PM Modi’s use of the word ‘brother’ underlines the closeness of relations between the two countries.
In this short but important visit of about three and a half hours, many important issues were agreed upon between the two countries. There were in-depth discussions on topics like defense partnership, space infrastructure and energy security. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described it as a small but concrete summit, which also included delegation level talks.
During this time, PM Modi’s ‘Car Diplomacy’ also came into discussion once again. This strategy is again in the headlines after the picture of PM Modi and UAE President sitting together in a car surfaced. Even before this, PM Modi has been seen doing such informal diplomacy with the leaders of Russia, Britain, Jordan and Germany.
Finally, during the UAE President India Visit, agreements were signed between India and UAE on joint initiatives in the space sector, nuclear energy, food security and technology. Additionally, it was also agreed to establish the ‘House of India’ in Abu Dhabi, which will showcase the shared heritage of the two countries.
