Moscow. A major development took place during the talks on a peace agreement to end the war that has been going on for the last four years between Russia and Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused Ukraine of attacking President Vladimir Putin’s residence with 91 drones. He said that this attack was carried out targeting the official residence of the President located in Novgorod area.
Lavrov said that this attack was carried out by a long-range drone on the intervening night of 28-29 December. However, the Russian air defense system shot down all the drones in the air. He termed it a terrorist attack sponsored by the Ukrainian government and said that such actions will not be left unanswered. At present, no information has been given about whether President Putin was present there at the time of this attack or not.
Russia has made preparations to avenge these attacks. It has also been decided when and where the retaliatory attack will be carried out. Along with this, Russia has also indicated to reverse its stance on the peace agreement. He has been accused of carrying out terrorist attacks on Ukraine and has said that now that Ukraine has adopted the path of terrorism, he will reconsider his stance on peace talks.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Zelensky completely rejected Russia’s allegations, which claim that Ukraine has tried to attack Putin’s residence in Novgorod. Zelensky described these claims as fabricated lies. He clarified that Ukraine has no intention of attacking any of Putin’s residences.
He alleged that Moscow is making such fabricated allegations so that it can justify its new attacks on Kiev and other government buildings. Zelensky said that this could be a well-planned conspiracy to hinder the progress in peace talks.
