Most people think that after Trump came to power, the maximum number of Indians are deported from America, but the reality is that this year 11 thousand Indians were deported from Saudi Arabia, which is more than any other country. These mostly included laborers and people working in the private sector, who were sent back on charges of visa violation, illegal migration or violation of local laws. Whereas America deported only 3,800 Indians this year, which is the highest in the last five years, but much less than the figures of Saudi Arabia.
A large number of Indians were deported due to violation of visa and labor rules in Gulf countries. These include 1,469 Indians from UAE and 764 Indians from Bahrain. The reasons for this include working without a visa as well as a valid permit, violation of labor laws, absconding from the employer and getting entangled in civil or criminal cases.
America evacuated 3800 Indians
According to the latest data presented in the Rajya Sabha by the Ministry of External Affairs, 3,800 Indians were deported from the US in the last 12 months. Most of the action came from Washington DC (3,414) and Houston (234). The reason for this is being linked to the strictness started in the President Donald Trump government and strict scrutiny of documents – such as visa status, work authorization and overstay.
