Indian cricket team’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer has made a comeback in international cricket after injury. In October 2025, he was hospitalized and kept out of the field for a long time due to a serious spleen injury and internal bleeding during a match against Australia. After proving his fitness by performing brilliantly for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he played an important inning of 49 runs in the recent first ODI against New Zealand. In this match, he made an important partnership of 77 runs for the third wicket with Virat Kohli (93 runs), which laid the foundation for the victory of the Indian team chasing the target of 301 runs. Although Iyer missed his half-century after being bowled by Kyle Jamieson, his innings proved that he is completely back in rhythm.

Zimbabwe Under-19 need 304 runs in 270 balls at an average of 6.75 per over.
