According to Hindustan Times report, the police said that 37-year-old Anil Rai, resident of Nathupur, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, was caught by a police patrol team on Gurugram-Pataudi Road near Sector 98 on Wednesday. According to the police, Anil Rai is from Maharashtra. A trailer truck with registration number 1 was driving on the wrong side when the patrolling team spotted it. The police team stopped the truck and registered a case against Anil Rai at Sector 10 police station under sections 281 (negligent driving) and 125 (act endangering the life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code and section 184 (dangerous driving) of the Motor Vehicles Act and took him into custody. Another patrolling team of the police arrested a 35-year-old resident of Durg, Chhattisgarh. Mukundlal Iyer was caught at the main gate of Ramprastha City Society in Sector 37D. He was speeding on the wrong side of Dwarka Expressway in his Hyundai Creta. The number plate of his car had the registration number of Jharkhand.

Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Turan said that he was also taken to Sector 10 police station and included in the investigation after an FIR was registered against him under sections 125 and 281 of the BNS.
