
New Delhi. While the government termed the Union Budget 2026-27 presented by Finance Minister Sitharaman on Sunday as historic, the opposition said it does not provide concrete solutions to the problems and challenges present in the country. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia praised the budget and described it as historic, while Congress President Kharge has targeted the Central Government regarding the budget and said that this government no longer has new ideas left.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while reacting to the presented budget, targeted the central government and said that the Modi government now has nothing left in the name of new ideas. Kharge said, this budget does not offer any concrete solution to the economic, social and political challenges present in the country.
On the other hand, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia not only praised the budget but also called it historic. He said that in the last one year, a growth of 7.5 percent has been recorded in GDP. Inflation has been under control and fiscal deficit is also under control. Scindia said, there are signs of continuous strength in agriculture, service and manufacturing sectors. In this sense the budget is historic.
Focus on modernization in defense sector: Rajnath
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the budget is in line with the expectations of the public and said that it is going to lay a strong foundation for self-reliant India and developed India 2047. Rs 7.85 lakh crore has been allocated for the defense sector in the budget and special focus has been laid on the modernization of the three armies.
Budget of developed India: Shivraj
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan described the budget as historic and said that this is the budget of ‘developed India’. He said, this will lay a strong foundation to make India self-reliant by 2047. Special emphasis has been laid on reforms in the budget. In this budget, the concerns of villages, poor, farmers, youth and women have been kept at the center.
Development roadmap: CM Yogi
Responding to the budget, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, the world’s largest democracy today presented the roadmap for a developed India. He said that this budget is going to reflect the aspirations and expectations of 145 crore countrymen. This is a budget prepared keeping the common people and women at the center, which is full of reforms that make life easier.
Budget to fulfill PM’s basic mantra: CM Say
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai in his reaction said, Budget 2026-27 is going to realize the basic mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. In such a situation, this budget will prove to be very beneficial for the country as well as Chhattisgarh.
Nothing for Bengal in the budget: CM Mamata
Expressing disappointment over the budget, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the Center and said that the Center has not given anything to Bengal through this budget. Not only this, he said that false claims have been made regarding economic corridors. In such a situation, this budget is anti-women, anti-farmer and anti-education.
Employment and startups will get strength: Vaishnav
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in his reaction, the announcements made in the budget regarding manufacturing, semiconductor, IT services and data centers are historic. He said, this will give new strength to employment and startups.
