Mumbai. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will not change their captain for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 starting later this month. Last time the team’s performance was not good under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane. The team won the title in the year 2024 but failed last year in 2025. In such a situation, it was believed that KKR could change the captain this time because Rahane could not lead the team to victory. According to the latest report, the franchise has once again placed its trust in Rahane’s experience. Last season, the team won only 5 out of 13 matches but the management believes that considering the current balance of the team, Rahane will be the best fit for the leadership.
Last year, Rahane scored the most runs for KKR. He had performed brilliantly while playing at number 3 and it is believed that he will play at the same number three this year also. However, there is a problem with the opening pair for the team.
