India will become global biopharma hub
The focus has been on the health sector in Budget 2026. Work will be done towards making India a global hub in the field of biopharma. Taking initiative in this direction, Rs 10 thousand crores will be spent in 5 years. Under this, biologics and biosimilars will be produced domestically. With this, dependence on imports will be reduced. India will be established as a global player as a supplier of medicines.
