UP Government Employees: Uttar Pradesh government has given a big gift to its employees and pensioners before Holi. According to the government, the salary for the month of February will be released on 28th February only. Along with this, pension will also be paid. The government has taken this decision because of the big festival like Holi. So that no one faces any financial problem during the festival. Know what the UP government said?
The Governor has given permission to the state government for this. After getting permission from the Governor, the UP government has issued the order. According to which, there will be a general holiday on March 1 as it is a Sunday and there will be a public holiday on March 2 on the occasion of Holika Dahan. In such a situation, there should not be any problem in distribution of salary due to continuous holidays. Therefore, the government has decided to pay salaries on 28th February only. The employees and pensioners are very happy with this initiative of the UP government.
Payment will be made on 28th February
Actually, this order has been issued by the Finance Department. According to Finance (Accounts) Section-1 of the Finance Department, there will be continuous holiday on March 1 and March 2, 2026, due to which there may be problem in salary payment. In such a situation, payment to all government employees, aided educational institutions, urban local bodies and pensioners/family pensioners of the state will be made on February 28 only. The government has given instructions to all the District Magistrates and Chief Treasury Officers for this.

The government has taken a big step before Holi and given big relief to the employees. It has been made clear in the order that there should not be any delay in payment at any level. Lakhs of employees of the state will benefit from this decision of the UP government and they will be able to express their happiness on the occasion of the festival.
