नई दिल्ली|अवैध प्रवासन सभी देशों के लिए चुनौती बनी हुई है। कई देशों में यह राजनीतिक मुद्दा भी बना है। विदेश मंत्रालय के आंकड़े बताते हैं कि विदेशों में भारतीयों के अवैध रुप से प्रवासन के मामले बढ़ रहे हैं। पिछले पांच सालों के दौरान 81 देशों से एक लाख से भी ज्यादा भारतीयों को डिपोर्ट (वापस भेजना) किया गया है। यह संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है। मौजूदा समय में औसतन 25 हजार भारतीय हर साल डिपोर्ट होकर आ रहे हैं। जबकि, पांच साल पहले तक यह संख्या 14-15 हजार के बीच होती थी।विदेश मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के अनुसार दुनिया के तमाम छोटे बड़े देशों से भारतीयों को डिपोर्ट किया जा रहा है। यहां तक की बांग्लादेश, म्यांमार, श्रीलंका, कंबोडिया से भी सैकड़ों भारतीयों को डिपोर्ट किया गया है। 2021-2025 के दौरान करीब 1.05 लाख भारतीय वापस भेजे गए हैं।

In 2021, 808 people were deported from America but in 2025 this number increased to 3812. There were 358 deportations from UAE at that time but in 2025 it reached 1467. Similarly, the number of people deported from Myanmar increased from 338 to 1591. Indians deported from Bahrain increased from 273 to 764. 64 to 156 people from Bangladesh, 256 to 481 from Thailand, 16 to 127 from Maldives, 44 to 305 from Cambodia, 27 to 188 from Canada have been sent to India. The figures show that the maximum number of Indians sent from America and Gulf countries shows that along with America, Gulf countries, along with small countries of Europe, people are being deported to India on a large scale. These include 133 Indians from Georgia, 188 from Panama, 127 from Poland, 578 from UK, 2165 from Myanmar, 1000 from China, 478 from Bangladesh, 1866 Indians from Sri Lanka who have been sent back in the last five years. Illegal Migration Challenge However, not all countries share such figures. These figures of the Ministry of External Affairs have been received from their embassies. But the citizens being deported are from China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Actually, most of the cases are related to employment due to which people get employed on wrong visa or continue working even after the visa expires. How are deportations done? If an Indian is deported, then the concerned country contacts the Embassy of India. The embassy allows him to be sent to India after his citizenship is confirmed. Necessary documents are issued for this.
