The thieves not only cut the cable but also put a brake on the speed of Delhi Metro. At present, the police has arrested an accused for cutting the cable. According to the information, about 1000 meters of cable installed on the 9.9 kilometer long route between Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park was stolen. DMRC officials said that the signal system was disrupted due to theft of cable. Although during this period, it was running between Bhalswa and Majlis Park metro station, but the speed was only 25 kilometers per hour. This route remained closed throughout the day on Thursday. Even if the cable is laid in such a situation, the operation will have to be stopped first. Cable cannot be laid without closure.

Cable will be laid at night

According to officials, if the work of laying the cable is done, the operation of the metro will have to be stopped. In such a situation, night time would be appropriate because the passenger service ends at night. During this period, work of laying metro cable will be done. Railway Corporation has also informed the passengers, so that no passenger has to face problems.

Police arrested the thief and sent him to jail

The metro line cable was stolen on March 11. After receiving information about the theft, the police came into action and arrested the thief. The arrested accused has been identified as Sheikh Shafiq (28), resident of Jahangirpuri. Let us tell you, this is not the first incident in Delhi Metro, when cable has been stolen. Even before this the cable had been stolen many times. According to DMRC officials, thieves are active in cutting cables from around 12:30 in the night to 4 in the morning. Most thefts occur during this time.
