Jaipur. A female passenger was attacked by a dog at Terminal-2 of Jaipur International Airport at around 2:20 pm on Sunday afternoon. The woman’s leg started bleeding, but with the help of people present nearby and the airport administration, she was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital for first aid. Doctors treated the woman and discharged her, and at present her condition is said to be out of danger.
Airport management said that the woman had come to Jaipur from Delhi and was coming out near the gate of the arrival area, when the dog attacked her. The dog had already been vaccinated, so there is no risk of any serious infection. According to eyewitnesses, the dog suddenly attacked the woman.
This is not the first case when dogs attacked passengers at Jaipur airport. Even before this, such incidents have come to light many times. According to the guidelines of the Supreme Court, stray dogs should be caught and left at the same place after sterilization. The airport management has started fencing work and vaccination of the dogs present in the premises is also being done, but the presence of dogs in the high-security area has been raising questions on the security arrangements.
