Chittorgarh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the brave land of Rajasthan and its historical glory in a program organized at Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan on the occasion of Jauhar Mela. He said that whenever he sees this sacred land, he remembers a famous line – “This is the seat of one man, it is ruled by no one.” Through this statement he underlined Mewar’s tradition of independence, self-respect and bravery.
In his address, Yogi said that today very few people know about Alauddin Khilji and his dynasty. Thus, there is no visible existence of the lineage of Babar, Aurangzeb and Akbar, whereas the lineage of Maharana Pratap is still alive and respected in our society. He said that similarly, the tradition of Queen Padmini (Padmavati) also remains a source of inspiration for us today.
CM Yogi said that the entire country gets inspiration from the brave land of Rajasthan. Referring to great warriors like Maharana Sanga, Maharana Kumbha and Bappa Rawal, he said that every Indian salutes their tradition of bravery and sacrifice. According to him, people of India in any corner of the country – North, South, East or West – take inspiration from the stories of these great heroes.
In his speech, the Chief Minister also talked about the issue of law and order and women’s safety in UP. He said that when his government was formed in Uttar Pradesh, he had promised the people of the state that there would be a policy of zero tolerance against crime and criminals. He said in clear words that if any person tries to play with the safety of a sister or daughter, then that culprit will be given severe punishment.
Yogi said that despite having a population of 25 crores in Uttar Pradesh today, there has been a big improvement in law and order. Earlier, many girls had to stay with distant relatives to study, but now they are going to school or college 5-10 kilometers away from their home. He claimed that women in the state are now returning home safely after working in night shifts in offices and factories, which is a big example of improvement in women’s safety. He said that the positive change that is visible in Uttar Pradesh has been possible under the guidance of Narendra Modi. According to Yogi, the inspiration behind this change is also important from the heroic land of Rajasthan. Yogi said that Chittorgarh Fort is not just a fort made of stones, but it is a symbol of India’s identity and pride. He said that whenever India is in crisis or when it comes to inspiring the youth, three great names often come to people’s mind, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Guru Gobind Singh. All these great heroes are symbols of bravery, courage and patriotism of India, whose stories even today provide new energy and inspiration to the countrymen.
