Washington. There has been an international outcry after the US Justice Department made public new confidential files related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal late on Friday night. These files contain millions of pages and thousands of photographs, which shed new light on the relationship of many of the world’s most influential people with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. In this latest revelation, the names of famous Indian film director Mira Nair and Tesla CEO Elon Musk have also appeared.
According to the documents, American film publicist Peggy Siegel sent an email to Jeffrey Epstein on October 21, 2009. In this email, Peggy mentions an after-party held at Ghislaine Maxwell’s Manhattan townhouse. The party was held to commemorate the screening of Mira Nair’s 2009 film Amelia. Big stars like Hilary Swank and Richard Gere worked in this film. The email states that many high-profile personalities were present at the party, including former US President Bill Clinton, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Mira Nair herself. It is noteworthy that Mira Nair is the mother of New York politician Zohran Mamdani and is a prestigious face of the cinema world.
These new files include a total of 30 lakh pages, 1 lakh 80 thousand photographs and more than 2 thousand videos, which shows the scope of this scandal. Additionally, the documents also detail email communications between Elon Musk and Epstein during 2012 and 2013. These emails show that Epstein invited Musk to visit his private island several times. Epstein had detailed discussions with Musk about travel dates, helicopter arrangements and parties to be held there. According to email communications, in November 2012 Epstein asked Musk how many people would be in the helicopter to visit the island, to which Musk replied that perhaps only he and his then-wife Talulah Riley would come. During this conversation, Musk had curiously asked, on which day will the wildest party take place on your island? After this, in 2013 also there was an exchange of emails between the two regarding the travel time.
However, there is no firm confirmation in these released documents that Elon Musk actually ever visited that island. Musk has previously publicly denied these claims. When her name appeared in the preliminary files last year, she clarified that Epstein had tried to call her, but she never accepted his invitation. These new files related to the Epstein case may increase the troubles of many more influential people in the coming days.
