
Dungarpur: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Varada Police Station area of Dungarpur District of Rajasthan. There was a sensation in the area when the bodies of a loving couple were found hanging from a tree in the forest near Mandav Village. The condition of the dead bodies was very bad. According to the police, they are said to be about 15 days old. From the strong smell and the state of decomposition of the dead bodies, it is being estimated that both of them had died long ago.
Police said that the deceased boy and girl were missing from their respective homes since January 1. After the sudden disappearance of both of them, the family members searched for them in the surrounding areas and relatives were also interrogated, but no clue could be found. The family members were hopeful that both would be somewhere nearby and would return, but the dead bodies found in the forest dashed all hopes.
On Saturday, some villagers had gone to the forest to collect wood. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on a tree, where two dead bodies were hanging. When the villagers went closer and saw, it became difficult to stop there due to the bad smell. He immediately returned to the village and informed other people and then the police was informed about this. As soon as the information was received, Varda police station reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area and secured it.
Warda police station officer Rizwan Khan said that in the preliminary investigation the matter seems to be related to love affair. The deceased young man and woman loved each other and wanted to get married, but since both of them belonged to the same Gotra, their family members were not ready to accept this relationship. Both were mentally disturbed due to social and family pressure. It is suspected that due to this reason both of them left the house and went to the forest and committed suicide.
Police got videography done at the spot and FSL team was also called to the spot. In the presence of family members, both the bodies were brought down from the tree. After this, the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Sagwara Hospital for post-mortem. The actual cause of death will be confirmed only after the post mortem report comes.
