ICC has officially announced the total prize money of the tournament after T20 World Cup 2026. This time a prize pool of $11.25 million (about Rs 103 crore) was kept for the entire tournament, which was divided on the basis of the performance of all the teams. According to ICC, the winning team of the tournament, India, has received the highest amount. A total prize money of $2,639,423 i.e. about Rs 24.25 crore has been given to India. The New Zealand team that lost in the final got $1,422,692 (about Rs 13.08 crore).
Big rewards for the teams that reach the semi-finals
A good amount of prize money has also been given to the teams that reached the semi-finals of the tournament. South Africa received $1,005,577 (approximately Rs 9.24 crore), while England was given an amount of $974,423 (approximately Rs 8.96 crore).
Pakistan got Rs 4.80 crore
On the basis of their performance in the tournament, Pakistan has received $522,692 i.e. approximately Rs 4.80 crore. Apart from this, different amounts have also been given to teams like West Indies, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
Other teams also got share
Each team participating in the tournament was given $225,000 (about Rs 2 crore) as base participation fee. Apart from this, additional amount has also been given on the basis of winning the match, reaching the next round and the last position. Afghanistan, Australia and the US received $309,808, while Scotland and Ireland were also given different amounts. Whereas teams like Canada, Namibia and Oman got $225,000 as base money.

BCCI gave big reward to Team India
After India’s historic victory, BCCI has also announced a big reward for the team. Vice President of the Board, Rajeev Shukla said that the Indian team will be given a bonus of Rs 131 crore. According to Rajiv Shukla, this is the biggest reward ever given to an Indian cricket team for winning an ICC tournament. Along with the players, the support staff has also been included in this reward. India won the T20 World Cup title for the third time by defeating New Zealand in the final of this tournament and created history.
