India’s batting completely dominated in the last four matches of the T20 World Cup. Team India scored 250+ runs twice in the semi-finals and final. India scored a mammoth score of 253/7 against England and won the match by seven runs. After this, the Indian batsmen continued their aggressive style against New Zealand in the final also. In the final, India scored a big score of 255/5 and won the match by 96 runs and won the title. After the success of the Indian team, Sourav Ganguly’s statement has come out. He has said that he was quite surprised by New Zealand’s toss decision. Ganguly also praised coach Gautam Gambhir and said that the team will win many titles under him, especially in white ball cricket.

Ganguly said – New Zealand had lost at 7:30

Ganguly expressed surprise at the decision of New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner, who won the toss, and said that he did not understand the decision to bowl first. He said, ‘New Zealand had lost the World Cup at 7:30 pm itself. The match started at seven o’clock and within half an hour it became clear what was going to happen. I was also saying the same thing to the people watching the match with me.’ Referring to the depth of Indian batting, Ganguly said, ‘Ishaan, Abhishek, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar, Shivam, Tilak, Hardik and Akshar, if the team sends India to bat first in front of such a strong batting, then it is a straight tactical disaster.’ He also praised fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and said that the match becomes more difficult in his presence.

Coach Gautam Gambhir also praised

Ganguly also praised the strategy and leadership of Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir. He said, ‘He is very good as a white ball coach and he has a great team. Winning the Champions Trophy and World Cup within 12 months is a big achievement for any coach. According to Ganguly, Gambhir understands the team environment very well and always keeps the interest of the team at the top.

India has the power to form two strong teams

Ganguly believes that the talent in Indian cricket is so great that two strong white-ball teams can be formed. He said, ‘Just think how many players are out of the team and yet how brilliant they are. Even a player like Shreyas Iyer is not getting a place. Suryavanshi can play in any team. Players like Jaiswal and Gill are also sitting outside. India can easily field two strong teams.

Challenge can come only from these teams

According to Ganguly, the real challenge to India in white-ball cricket can come only from a few selected teams. He believes that Australia and England are the only teams that can give a tough competition to India, while South Africa can be competitive in favorable conditions.
