
Gurugram/Bhiwadi: A major accident took place in Gurugram, Haryana on Monday night. The wall of the project under construction in Global Signature Society suddenly collapsed. 7 laborers died in the accident while 3 others are said to be seriously injured. This accident happened in the border area of Haryana and Rajasthan. Since there was a hospital nearby, the dead and injured were taken to the government hospital in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and SDRF team reached the spot and conducted an operation for hours to rescue the workers from the mud.
7 laborers died due to wall collapse in Gurugram: According to the information, the work of sewerage treatment plant was going on in Global Signature Society of Gurugram. Around 8 pm suddenly the mud wall in the basement collapsed. 10 laborers were buried in the accident. Other workers present on the spot started relief work and informed the police about the accident. With the help of ambulance, the dead and patients were brought to the government hospital in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
‘Death toll may increase’: Dr. Sagar Arora of Bhiwadi Government Hospital said, “Seven workers have died due to getting buried in the soil during digging in the Signature Global Builder Society located at Kapadiawas in Haryana area near Bhiwadi. The bodies of 7 workers have reached the government hospital of Bhiwadi. They have been declared dead. The death toll may increase. Apart from Rajasthan Police, Haryana Police has also been informed about the matter. The relatives of the deceased are also reaching the hospital.”
Anger among workers’ families: The relatives of the workers say that a large number of workers’ relatives are reaching the spot, but till now the administration is being negligent on the whole matter. The family members of the workers are not being allowed inside the site. The relatives of the deceased workers are angry and are also registering their protest.
Police started investigating the case: Bhiwadi’s Additional SP Atul Sahu said that those who died include Parmeshwar aged 52 years, Satish aged 35 years from Bharatpur, Bhagirath aged 50 years, Mangal aged 32 years. While three people have not been identified yet. The police have informed the Haryana Police about the matter. Besides, the relatives of the deceased have also been informed about the incident.
