The information about the arrest has been given to his wife Nutan Thakur by the Talkatora police station in-charge of Lucknow. Lucknow Police has also made Nutan an accused in this case.
According to the information, former IPS Amitabh Thakur was going to Delhi by Lucknow Superfast Express. During this time, the train stopped at Shahjahanpur Junction at around 2 o’clock in the night. As soon as the train stopped, many policemen boarded his AC coach and took him down and took him with them. The police are taking them into custody and taking them to Deoria. In Deoria, the police will interrogate him in a case related to land allotment. The arrest of the former IPS was confirmed at 10 am on Wednesday, 10 December.
