After hundreds of flights were cancelled, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) took strict action against the airline. The airline said that passengers for flights canceled on December 3, 4 and 5 will be reimbursed as per government rules. Compensation ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 will get. Additionally, for the most affected passengers Travel Voucher up to additional Rs 10,000 Will be issued. This voucher can be used on any domestic or international IndiGo flights in the next 12 months.

IndiGo clarified that the compensation amount will be determined based on the distance of the flight, ticket class and inconvenience caused to the passenger. The travel voucher will be especially available to those passengers whose flights were repeatedly canceled or rescheduled, or who had to wait for a long time at the airport.
