
New Delhi. There is dense fog along with severe cold in Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to keep all schools from nursery to class 12th closed till January 1. After this order, there will be holiday in all the concerned schools of the state including ICSE, CBSE and UP Board. If any school does not follow this, action will be taken against it.
According to the details shared by the Indian Meteorological Department in the media report, information about severe fog has been given in Baghpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun of the state. Apart from this, there is a possibility of cold wave in Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabirnagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya. Apart from UP, orders have been given to keep schools closed till 30th December in Bihar till class 8th. Schools will remain closed till class 10th in Saharsa and Nalanda. Along with this, changes have also been made in school timings for older classes.
In Una, Himachal Pradesh, holidays have been declared in schools from 29th to 31st December due to winter. In Punjab also, holidays are continuing from December 22 due to cold wave. Information about the date of opening of the school has not been received yet. In view of the cold, the education department will give further information.
