Will you be able to access PF account without UAN?
12 digit UAN is very important for every EPFO member, because without it you cannot open or use your PF account. Suppose you have to do some work related to your PF account, but you do not remember your UAN or you have forgotten it, then without UAN this work will not be completed.
How to recover UAN number?
First of all go to the official website of UAN mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface.
Go to the Important Links section visible on the right hand side of the website and click on ‘Know your UAN’.
Now fill your registered mobile number and the captcha code shown on the screen, then click on the Request OTP button.
After this OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Validate OTP button by entering OTP.
Now you have to fill some information. Like your full name, date of birth and Aadhar or PAN number.
After filling all the information, click on the ‘Show My UAN’ button. As soon as you click, the UAN number will appear on your screen.
Now you can copy the UAN number from here and save it somewhere else, so that you can easily find it when needed.
Can you get UAN number through SMS also?
Apart from this, you can also easily know the UAN number through SMS. For this you will have to write ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ and send SMS to the mobile number ‘7738299899’ issued by EPFO. After some time, an SMS will be received in your phone, in which your UAN number will be given.
