According to sources, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has sought clarification from Pakistan as to how it can use the force majeure clause to withdraw from this match, after which Pakistan is on the backfoot. It is being told that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board sent an email to the PCB and asked to end the boycott.
In this, Sri Lanka says that if the India-Pak match does not take place, the stakeholders and broadcasters will suffer huge losses. Now PCB has extended its hand for talks with ICC, a ray of hope is visible from this.
