T20 World Cup: There are dark clouds of crisis over the match between India and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan had refused to play against India in this mega event. However, it is being claimed in many reports that now the Pakistan Cricket Board is ready to play the match with India and for this it has placed three demands before the ICC.
What condition did Pakistan Cricket Board keep?
According to the reports coming out, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with the ICC on Sunday, in which he agreed to play the match against India. However, for this he has put three conditions before the ICC.
- According to reports, Naqvi has demanded more revenue sharing from the world body as his first condition.
- As a second condition, the Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board has demanded to restart the bilateral series between India and Pakistan. Let us tell you, India and Pakistan currently play against each other only in tournaments like ICC and Asia Cup. In view of the increasing dispute between the two countries, the bilateral series was stopped, which Pakistan has demanded to restart. The last bilateral series was played between the two countries in 2012. In such a situation, India would hardly accept these conditions of Pakistan.
- Apart from this, PCB has said in its third condition that Indian players should join hands with Pakistani players in the T20 World Cup 2026.
Didn’t shake hands in Asia Cup
Let us tell you, the effect of increasing political tension and terrorist attacks between India and Pakistan was also seen in the cricket field. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack last year, tension between the two countries had increased and Indian players took a tough stand and did not shake hands with Pakistani players during the Asia Cup 2025. Apart from this, the trophy won by the Indian team was also not taken from the hands of Mohsin Naqvi.
