Director Vishal Bhardwaj, who has made films like ‘Maqbool’, ‘Omkara’ and ‘Haider’, is now coming up with ‘O Romeo’. Vishal Bhardwaj is once again working with Shahid Kapoor in this film. However, a big star cast will be seen in the film. It includes names of artists like Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Trupti Dimri, Disha Patani, Tamannaah Bhatia and Vikrant Massey. Now Vishal Bhardwaj has made a big revelation related to the film, in which he told about the artists who have worked in the film without taking a single penny.
Vikrant did not charge any fees
According to Free Press Journal, Vishal Bhardwaj told that Vikrant Massey had agreed to ‘O Romeo’ many years ago. At a time when actors were still making their mark in the film industry. Since then, Vikrant’s career has changed a lot, especially after the huge success of ’12th Fail’. However, when Vishal contacted him again, Vikrant, respecting his old words, refused to take any fees. He told the director that the film ‘Maqbool’ had inspired him to make a career in cinema and this film had changed his life. He said that playing this role was like a tribute for him. Despite the busy schedule and increasing demand, Vikrant shot for about eight to nine days for the film. But did not charge a single rupee fee.
Tamanna also worked for free
Vishal Bhardwaj also revealed that apart from Vikrant, Tamannaah Bhatia also agreed to work in ‘O Romeo’ without taking a single penny. Although budget constraints were one reason, his decision was more important for financial reasons. Although the role of both the actors is small, it has great significance in the story, leading to a turning point. Tamannaah immediately agreed to the role and shot for about 12 days, much longer than originally planned. Tamanna also did workshops to prepare for her character. Vishal Bhardwaj has also expressed his gratitude to both these artists for their generosity.
