Jaipur: In the Malpura Gate police station area of the capital, a vicious father killed his only 8-month-old innocent daughter by slitting her throat with scissors. After this, the accused himself tried to commit suicide by hiding the dead body in a blanket. The police have arrested the accused. Jaipur (East) DCP Sanjeev Nain said that Shadab Mohammad, resident of Lalapurwa (Uttar Pradesh), is accused of murdering his daughter. This incident took place on 6th February, but the police have revealed the incident by arresting the accused today. The police is now interrogating him and investigating the case. The girl’s mother has filed a case at Malpura Gate police station.
Controversy started over the issue of returning to in-laws’ house: DCP Sanjeev Nain said that the victim informed in her report that her father had brought her and her 8-month-old daughter Shahnaz from Lalpurwa to Sanganer. Two days later, accused Shadab also came from Pune and started living with them. On February 6, at around 10 am, the accused asked his wife to go to her in-laws’ house. When the wife asked to leave after three-four days, an argument broke out and the dispute escalated.

Wife assaulted, brother-in-law also attacked: After this the accused beat the wife and tried to strangulate her. During this time, when the victim’s younger brother Sohil came to intervene, Shadab attacked him on the head with a kettle. People nearby intervened and counseled. After the people left, Shadab took the innocent girl into the room and closed the room.
Took the girl into the room and cut her throat: DCP told that Going into the room, the accused killed the girl by slitting her throat with scissors and also tried to commit suicide. The family members and neighbors broke the door of the room and took care of the accused, but when they removed the blanket, they saw that the girl was lying bleeding. After the information, the police reached the spot and took the girl to Jaipuria Hospital and got the accused admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital. After investigation, doctors declared the girl dead. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused Shadab Mohammad on Friday. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
