Delhi| Former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has got a big relief in the alleged liquor scam case. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted Kejriwal. As soon as Kejriwal heard the court’s decision, he became emotional and tears started flowing from his eyes. While talking to the media, he described this decision of the court as a victory of truth. Arvind Kejriwal said, “For the last few years, the way BJP was talking about the liquor scam and accusing us, today the court has dismissed all the charges and acquitted all the accused. We have faith in the judiciary. Truth has won. All the big leaders were put in jail to eliminate AAP. This was a complete fake case. Kejriwal is not corrupt. I have only done one thing in my life. Honesty is earning. The court has said that Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and AAP have come to power by doing good work and it does not suit the Prime Minister to put us in jail.
23 accused including Kejriwal-Sisodia acquitted
Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted a total of 23 people including Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Welcoming the court’s decision, Manish Sisodia said, “Today once again I am proud of the Constitution of the country and today truth has won.”
What is the matter?
This matter is related to the excise policy of Delhi government, which is for the year 2022-23. During this period, Aam Aadmi Party was in power in Delhi. Whose CM was Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. In this case, first the CBI and then the ED had registered a case on money laundering charges. After which many leaders also went to jail. But today on Friday, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, while hearing the case, said that on the basis of CBI’s charge sheet, a case is not made out against Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. During the hearing, the court acquitted all the accused related to this case.
