Tel Aviv. The gravely tense situation in the Middle East now seems to be becoming even more frightening, especially since Israel has started a preventive attack on Iran. The Israeli Defense Minister officially confirmed the attack on Saturday morning and declared a nationwide state of emergency. After this attack, sounds of loud explosions and pictures of smoke in the sky have emerged from many areas including Tehran.
Israel has said in a statement issued by its army that this action has been taken with the aim of preventing a possible threat in advance. In view of this apprehension, the Israeli Army issued a “proactive alert” for its citizens, sounded sirens across the country and advised people to go to safe places.
On the orders of the ISF (Israel Defense Forces), the public has been instructed to go to shelters and take necessary precautions, so that people remain safe before possible Iranian missile attacks. Due to the echoes of sirens, an atmosphere of tension has been seen in major cities like Tel Aviv. It is being told that during this period at least three big explosions were heard in Iran’s capital Tehran. Local media reports said that the sounds of the explosions echoed in the central part of the city and a plume of smoke was seen rising into the sky. However, Iranian officials have not officially confirmed whether these were attacks or other developments.
According to experts, the timing of the attack is extremely critical as talks on the nuclear program were ongoing between Iran and the US amid rising tensions, with the third round of talks held in Geneva on Thursday. The initiation of military action has raised serious questions about diplomatic efforts and is indicative of a broader escalation of tensions across the Middle East.
