While giving information on social media platform X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he spoke to his friend French President Emmanuel Macron. During this, both the leaders discussed the rapidly changing situation in West Asia. He said that the solution to the current crisis is possible only through dialogue and diplomacy. Both the leaders also said that they will maintain contact with each other to restore peace in the region and do necessary coordination so that the situation can be brought back to normal soon.
France changed military strategy
Amid increasing tension in West Asia, France has changed its military strategy. President Emmanuel Macron has ordered France’s nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to be sent from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean. Many frigate ships are also being deployed along with this warship. Apart from this, fighter aircraft have also been deployed along with the air wing of this ship to ensure the security of the allied countries.
Rafale and air defense systems deployed
France has further strengthened its military presence in the region. President Macron said that Rafale fighter aircraft, air defense systems and special radar platforms for air surveillance have already been deployed. He said that if necessary, France can take further steps to protect its allies. However, France has also clarified that it is not directly involved in the attacks on Iran by America and Israel.
Claim of shooting down drone attacks
Macron said the French military had shot down several drones in self-defense at the beginning of the conflict. He said that this action was taken to protect the airspace of allied countries. However, he did not share much technical information about this military action. France also said that its allies know that France will stand with them if needed.
Limited permission to American planes
France has allowed American aircraft to be temporarily stationed at some of its military bases. French defense officials said the permission was granted only to support the security of allies in the region.
