Uttarkashi/Tehri: The weather patterns have changed once again in Uttarakhand. Due to which snowfall has been seen in high altitude areas. Whereas, there has been light rain in the low-lying areas. After Kedarnath, snowfall has started in the high altitude villages including Gangotri, Yamunotri Dham. On the other hand, snowflakes are also falling in the remote Gangi village of Tehri.
Rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi district: Late Sunday evening, snowfall has started in many high altitude villages including Gangotri, Yamunotri Dham, Harsil. The rain and snowfall after a long time has brought life to the crops. Besides, it will also prove effective in preventing forest fires. Because, forests are burning in many places. It is believed that this will help control forest fires.
Snowfall in marginal Gangi village of Tehri: While on one hand the temperature had increased due to heat in the mountains, on the other hand there has been a sudden change in the weather. Due to which suddenly snowfall started along with rain. Snowfall is also occurring in the marginal and remote Gangi village of Tehri district. Due to which the weather has become cool and pleasant.
Snowfall in Kedarnath Dham: At the same time, there has been snowfall at Baba Kedar level also. Due to which a layer of light snow accumulated in the Dham. Also the temperature has dropped considerably. Despite the harsh cold, police and ITBP personnel are deployed for the security of Kedarnath Dham. At the same time, preparations for Chardham Yatra have also been affected due to snowfall.
