
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off Namo Bharat Train Service and Meerut Metro. During this program, he will address a public meeting and will also launch projects worth more than Rs 12,000 crore in Western UP district. The distance between Delhi and Meerut is 85 kilometers. Earlier it used to take 3 to 3.5 hours to reach Meerut from Delhi. Now the distance may not only be reduced but the time taken during the journey will also definitely be reduced.
People of Delhi NCR can travel through this metro by renting houses in Meerut at low cost. Because there is a lot of difference in the fares at both the places. With a design speed of 180 km per hour, NaMo Bharat is India’s first regional rapid transit system, connecting major urban centers like Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Modinagar and Meerut to Delhi at high speed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took a metro ride till Meerut South station.
From Sarai Kale Khan, Modipuram, Bejajpul and Shatabdi Nagar can be reached in one hour by Delhi-Meerut RRTS. It is expected that this metro service will run from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on the remaining days of the week and on Saturdays and from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on Sundays. Meerut Metro will be the fastest metro system in India, with a maximum operational speed of around 120 km/h.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that it used to take hours to come from Meerut to Delhi. Today Meerut got the gift of metro. New India is progressing rapidly. He said that the AI Summit was discussed all over the world. Along with this, the sports university will also be ready by April.
