Shamli: A heart-wrenching incident of murder of relatives has come to light in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. In Kairana, a father-in-law killed his own daughter-in-law after failing to make her a victim of lust. Every effort was made to make this murder mystery look like a suicide. In fact, on February 14, the dead body of a woman named Muskura was found in her locked room in Issopur Khurgan village of Kairana Kotwali area. The deceased’s father-in-law Abbas had called it suicide, but during police investigation it turned out to be a horrific murder.

Father-in-law Abbas had an evil eye on his daughter-in-law and to get her, he hatched a long conspiracy. After winning her daughter-in-law’s trust, she allowed her ex-boyfriend to be invited to her house, so that he could know her weakness. On the night of Valentine’s Day, when the daughter-in-law rejected her father-in-law’s immoral demands, Abbas strangled her to death. His son Salman, who was involved in hiding the evidence, has also been arrested by the police.

Police investigation revealed that Abbas took Muskura into confidence by pretending to love her like a father. Through conversation, he found out about the daughter-in-law’s love affair before marriage. Abbas teased her that her husband was away for work, so she could call her lover home. Muskura got trapped in this trap and started calling her lover home. Abbas himself used to bring the lover home and drop him back, so that he could completely control his daughter-in-law.

dark night of valentine’s day

On 14th February i.e. the ‘day of love’, Abbas executed his nefarious plan. After the lover left at night, Abbas very cleverly opened the latch of the room by tying a wire to a stick. He entered inside and expressed his desire to have physical relations with his daughter-in-law. When Muskura strongly protested against this, her father-in-law, blinded by lust, strangled her to death. After this, he again closed the latch of the room from inside with the help of sticks and wire so that the death appeared to be a suicide.

Conspiracy hatched with son

After the murder, Abbas called his son Salman and told him that Muskura was having an affair with someone. Together they planned to hide it and mislead the police. In the morning Abbas raised an alarm that the daughter-in-law had committed suicide by locking herself in the room. He also put pressure on the police and family members not to conduct post-mortem. According to SP NP Singh, after investigating closely, the police have sent the accused father-in-law Abbas and husband Salman, accused of hiding evidence, to jail.
